A pop-up hot cocktail bar is opening on Kingsland Road

Hot Booze will be serving winter warmers for two weeks in the run-up to Christmas.

Welcome to December. Yes, it’s time to pack into crowded shopping centres, erect a dead tree in your home and pretend you like The Pogues and Slade. On the bright side, December is also the month when it’s deemed acceptable to spend every waking hour either hungover or with an alcoholic drink in your hand. Hot Booze is here to help. An empty shop on Kingsland Road has been commandeered as a venue to serve hot drinks including spiced cider and a range of hot cocktails

They say: “Miserable weather means we’re too cold to chill our drinks, and we’re bored of cheap mulled wine, so we’ve created a menu of mouth-watering hot drinks for grown-ups, all with a splash of cheeky booze. It’s the perfect antidote to the hell of Christmas shopping season.”

The menu features drinks such as Peanut Butter Rum, made with a spiced peanut butter and honey mix with dark rum and topped with biscuit sprinkles, and Hot Ginger Nuts, a blend of ginger tea and sugar syrup with bourbon and fresh orange
