Hackney’s best named shop is no longer selling fridges
It’s a sad day for Stoke Newington. Sellfridges appears to have closed down.
The white goods specialist and bane of Oxford Street’s most famous department store has been gutted and builders look to be converting the shop for something else.
We went and asked them what’s going on but they said they didn’t know.
As observed by Shit London, it’s the kind of name that you would come up with then be forced to follow a career selling fridges just to make the dream a reality.
We can only hope the owner has gone into copywriting or will be reopening with another pun-based business.
